SUPPORT FOR LGBTQ+ AND BIPOC ARTISTS

GET A $2500 BURSARY

DIVERSITY IN FILM INITIATIVE

FIND YOUR VOICE. TELL YOUR STORY.

It’s time for the voices of underrepresented people to be heard and their stories told.

The Diversity In Film Initiative supports artists from diverse backgrounds looking to break into the entertainment industry. InFocus Film School is offering $100,000 in scholarships and bursaries to people with a diverse or racialized heritage, members of historically marginalized communities, or those who have faced adversity due to disability or systemic biases.

That means we are looking for filmmakers and visual storytellers who are LGBTQ2SAI+, BIPOC, facing mental or physical barriers, or are otherwise underrepresented in the film industry. We’re here to get your story heard.

RECEIVE A BURSARY OF UP TO $2500

To begin, complete the form on this page. You’ll be connected with an admissions advisor who will be able to provide more details and further directions on how to complete your application.

All bursary applicants will be required to:

  1. Complete an application for one of InFocus Film School’s programs. All Diploma and Certificate programs are eligible. Applicants must meet the admissions requirements for their selected program.
  2. Submit a written or video essay detailing your story, and explaining your interest in the field of study you have chosen.
  3. Maintain an acceptable attendance and academic record while enrolled in the program.

If eligible, you will receive a bursary of between $1000 and $2500 to apply to your program of study.
