TELL STORY THROUGH COLOUR

Colour grading is the last step of the process of cinenematography; it’s where the ‘look’ of a film is finalized and the beauty of your images can be brought out. Learn how to captivate audiences, convey emotions, and better tell your story through the use of contrast, colour tone, and saturation. You will learn colour grading theory, tools, and techniques and how to apply them to your projects. Use software like Adobe Premiere’s Lumetri Color and DaVinci Resolve to breathe new life into your films.

Topics covered will include:

  • The Colour Wheel
  • The role of a colourist
  • Working with RAW files
  • Reading Video Scopes
  • Colour Correction vs. Colour Grading
  • Colour Theory
  • Workflow
  • Primary and secondary grades.
  • Matching different cameras.
