As a screen actor, shooting your scenes is the easy part. Gain not only the technical and performance skills required of a working actor, but also a deep understanding of the business of the screen industry through hands-on practice completing self-tape submissions, sourcing agent representation, building your audition toolkit, and identifying and marketing yourself to productions, casting directors, and broadcasters.

You’ll learn from multi-credit performers and directors who are able to provide the most up-to-date instruction on the techniques and state of the screen industry, networking opportunities, references, and casting intel, right in the classroom!

Auditioning is a core element of the program, providing you with real-world experience presenting your work to industry professionals. You’ll gain the experience and skills necessary to get cast, booked, and working on set. Build connections with top screen professionals and learn how to access production and casting channels to successfully deliver your career to an audience.

Refine your performance skills through scene study, improvisation, sketch comedy, voice, and movement training. Perfect your audition technique and self-tape skills while building real on-set experience across multiple projects. Learn to write, pitch, and direct your own short film — then step in front of the camera and act in it. Master the business side of the industry, from career planning and social media strategy to pitching and funding your own projects. ACADEMIC PROGRESS
Students are expected to make satisfactory progress in their studies and meet all assignments deadlines. Any student who fails two or more courses in a term must meet with the department head to discuss their academic performance. Passing Grade equals 50%

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To be accepted into the Acting Program, students must:
- Meet the terms of InFocus Film School’s English Proficiency Policy
- If under the age of 19, submit proof of successful completion of grade 12 (or equivalent)
