WHAT SHOULD I SUBMIT?

Scholarship submissions will be judged based based upon four equally weighted criteria: artistic merit, scholastic commitment, financial need, and overall presentation. Submissions are assessed weekly, with funds awarded on a rolling basis. That means the earlier you apply, the better chance you have at winning an award!

At the end of the scholarship period, the top three scholarship submissions will be awarded a top-up to the corresponding prize, with the top submission winning a total of $15,000 towards their tuition!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

25% - Artistic Merit

Candidates should show passion and artistic promise in their chosen field of study. Do they have an existing body of creative work? Regardless of technical skill, do the submitted materials show artistry? Have they demonstrated a clear inspiration and drive for future work?

25% - Scholastic Commitment

Candidates should show commitment to their education. Do they show a genuine interest in InFocus Film School and their program of study? Have they demonstrated a commitment to their education? Have they met deadlines and shown expediency throughout the application process?

25% - Financial Need

Candidates should be in need of financial assistance. Does the student have other grants, funding, or low/no interest loans available? Will a scholarship help the student graduate debt free? Has the student submitted a financial plan of how they will support themselves during their studies?

25% - Overall Presentation

Candidates should be deserving of a scholarship. Is there something about the submission or student’s story that stands out from the crowd? Do they demonstrate the values that InFocus stands for? Have they put real effort, creativity, and passion into their submission?
