Young filmmakers and media artist can now apply to reduce the financial hurdles to furthering their education.
High school students approaching graduation and those who have recently earned their high school diploma can apply to receive bursaries of $500 to $1,500 to put towards their post-secondary education at InFocus Film School.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP
To begin, complete the form on this page. You’ll be connected with an admissions advisor who will be able to provide more details and further directions on how to complete your application.
All bursary applicants will be required to:
- Complete an application for one of InFocus Film School’s programs. All diploma programs are eligible. Applicants must have graduated or be on track to graduate high school within the 12 months prior to their start date.
- Submit a written or video essay introducing yourself, telling us your story, and explaining why you want to study at InFocus Film School. A portfolio of past creative works can also be submitted.
- Meet all deadlines in the enrollment process, receive a high school diploma (or equivalent) before your program start date, and maintain acceptable attendance and academic records during your studies.

ELIGIBILITY AND DETAILS
- To be eligible for a bursary, students must complete a program application (including payment of the application fee), submit all documents requested by admissions advisors, and complete the scholarship application form.
- Students must be in high school or have recently graduated from high school to be eligible.
- All students must receive a high school diploma (or equivalent) or be over the age of 19 prior to their program’s start date.
- Bursary amounts will range between $500 and $1,500 based on program, financial need, previous work, and passion for the art.
- Students who have already been awarded a scholarship or bursary by InFocus Film School are not eligible.
- Amounts are in Canadian Dollars ($CAD).
- All funds awarded will be credited directly to the winners’ final tuition payment(s).
- Bursaries cannot be applied to programs currently in session.
- Bursary winners must maintain acceptable attendance and academic records throughout the program. Should a student withdraw, be dismissed, fail a course, or receive disciplinary action for attendance or other policy violations, the scholarship will be forfeited.
- Bursaries are only valid for the program and start date for which the student originally applied.
- Bursaries have no cash value and are not transferable.
