About InFocus:
InFocus Film School is an independent film school built on the premise of providing an accelerated education in film and entertainment arts. Originally founded as a non-profit society in 2010, InFocus has become Vancouver’s top cinematic arts training institution, offering diploma and certificate programs in film production, 3D animation, visual effects, screenwriting, and digital graphic design. While our structure has changed over the years, the growth of emerging artists, storytellers, and the arts and entertainment industry as a whole has remained at the core of everything we do. As our organization grows, we are seeking an experienced and mission-driven leader to step into the role of Campus Director.
Position Overview:
The Campus Director provides strategic and operational leadership to the Vancouver, BC Campus. Reporting directly to the Vice President, this role is responsible for the overall performance, compliance, and culture of the college’s campus operations. The Campus Director oversees all designated programs, manages a team of Program Coordinators, and ensures that infocus continues to deliver an exceptional student experience in alignment with PTIRU requirements and institutional standards.
This is a senior leadership position that requires both a strong post-secondary education background and a demonstrated ability to lead teams across multiple locations. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of the private career college environment in Canada and a commitment to academic integrity, regulatory compliance, and student success.
Key Responsibilities
Campus Operations & Multi-Site Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operations at the InFocus campus, ensuring consistent standards, policies and service delivery across all locations.
- Serve as the senior operational leader on campus, maintaining a visible and engaged presence across all sites as required.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency, consistency, and the overall student and staff experience.
- Manage campus facilities in coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and well-maintained learning environments.
Team Leadership & Program Coordination
- Directly manage and mentor a team of Program Coordinators, providing clear direction, regular performance feedback, and professional development support.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and student-centred team culture across all campuses.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of campus-level instructional and administrative staff in partnership with HR.
- Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one check-ins to ensure alignment with institutional goals and program delivery expectations.
Academic Program Oversight
- Provide oversight for all programs designated under the PTIRU, ensuring delivery standards are met and maintained.
- Collaborate with Program Coordinators and instructors to monitor student outcomes, completion rates, and program satisfaction.
- Support curriculum review processes and recommend program improvements in response to labour market trends and regulatory expectations.
- Ensure that program scheduling, practicum coordination, and instructional resources are managed effectively at each campus.
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU), Private Vocational Training Regulation, and all applicable Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills requirements.
- Ensure campus operations remain in full compliance with PTIRU designation conditions, including annual reporting obligations, student contract requirements, and complaint resolution processes.
- Liaise with the VP/Dean and the administrative team in preparation for regulatory inspections, audits, and any compliance action responses.
- Maintain accurate and organized campus-level records in accordance with PTIRU requirements and institutional policy.
Student Experience & Success
- Champion a student-centred culture across all campuses, ensuring students receive timely, respectful, and effective support throughout their enrolment.
- Oversee the implementation of student support services, including orientation, academic advising referrals, and complaint resolution processes.
- Monitor student satisfaction and engagement data, and lead initiatives to address identified gaps or concerns.
- Act as an escalation point for student concerns that cannot be resolved at the Program Coordinator level.
Curriculum Oversight & Academic Quality
- Provide oversight of curriculum design, structure, and implementation across all InFocus programs, ensuring content meets designation requirements and industry standards.
- Support the development and alignment of program-level learning outcomes, working collaboratively with Program Coordinators and instructional staff.
- Guide curriculum review and continuous improvement processes, incorporating student outcome data, graduate feedback, and labour market trends.
- Contribute to the integration of theoretical and clinical or practicum components within applicable programs, ensuring coherent and well-sequenced learning experiences.
- Support faculty in course development and instructional approaches where needed, connecting them with appropriate resources and professional development opportunities.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Contribute to InFocus’ institutional strategic planning, providing operational insights and campus-level data to support decision-making.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the VP/Dean on campus performance, enrolment trends, staff capacity, and operational priorities.
- Identify opportunities for program growth, campus improvement, and enhanced community partnerships.
- Support the implementation of institutional initiatives, policy changes, and quality improvement plans.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Master’s degree from a recognized Canadian institution or an equivalent credential that has been assessed and verified through World Education Services (WES) or an equivalent designated credential evaluation body recognized in Canada. (Required)
- Degrees in Education, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field are considered an asset.
Experience
- A minimum of one (1) year of direct leadership experience within a private career college in Canada. (Required)
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, including performance management, coaching, and team development.
- Hands-on experience with private vocational training operations, including familiarity with designation, licensing, compliance, student contracts, and program delivery.
- Experience working across multiple campuses or locations is considered a significant asset.
- Background in admissions, student services, or academic program coordination is an asset.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) and British Columbia’s private career college regulatory landscape.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with an approach that builds strong and lasting relationships.
- Detail-oriented with strong creative problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Proven ability to implement change and drive innovation within an educational setting.

Student Finance Support
InFocus Film School

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
About the Role
InFocus Film School is looking for a Student Finance Planner to join our team in Vancouver. This is a student-facing, onsite role focused on helping students move through the financial planning and funding process with confidence, clarity, and strong follow-through.
The Student Finance Planner supports students from early financial conversations through loan application completion, required documentation, funding follow-up, and enrolment readiness. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, service-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple files in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
- Conduct Financial Entrance Interviews with students
- Complete financial planning and budget sheets with students during the interview process
- Meet with students to complete and submit loan applications within 48 hours of Appointment 1
- Prepare and submit appendices, schedules, and program information forms within 24 hours of the loan application
- Prepare student loan disbursement agreements and ensure documents are signed through PandaDoc (or similar) within 24 hours of the loan application
- Support students with MSFAA completion
- Monitor loan approval status and follow up as needed
- Maintain weekly follow-up and engagement with active students
- Complete and update enrolment requirements in student records
- Create agreements for new enrolments to the pending stage within 48 hours of enrolment conversion
- Review reports daily to prioritize tasks and ensure records are current
- Proactively maintain file compliance, spot check file completion, and ensure statuses are accurate
- Post payments in systems, where appropriate, based on internal segregation of duties
- Participate in daily huddles to report priorities, goals, and trends
- Work closely with admissions, finance, and student services to support a strong student experience
- Follow-up and collect on outstanding tuition
- Complete financial exit interviews
What We Are Looking For
- Post-secondary education in business, administration, finance, student services, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in student finance, administration, admissions, financial aid, or student support is an asset
- Strong administrative, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to work with sensitive and confidential student information
- Comfortable using digital systems, e-signature tools, and student information platforms

Compensation
Base salary is $45,000 per year, with a monthly performance bonus tied to service levels, compliance, and file completion. Total expected annual earnings are approximately $60,000 based on achievement of performance targets.

Junior Marketing & Content Coordinator

About the Role
InFocus Film School is looking for a creative and motivated Junior Marketing & Content Coordinator to support the school’s day-to-day marketing efforts. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in graphic design, social media content creation, and short-form video editing.
The successful candidate will help create digital ads, social media graphics, promotional videos, and other marketing materials, while also supporting event promotion and maintaining a consistent visual identity for the school.
Responsibilities
- Create graphic design materials for digital ads, social media, events, and promotional campaigns
- Edit and produce short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook
- Support the scheduling, posting, and coordination of social media content
- Assist with promoting events, open houses, student showcases, and school initiatives
- Help maintain a consistent brand identity across all marketing materials
- Create and update posters, flyers, presentations, and other promotional assets
- Support website and digital content updates as needed
- Monitor content performance and assist with basic reporting
- Use AI tools where appropriate to support content creation and workflow efficiency
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience, internship, freelance, or portfolio-based experience in marketing, content creation, social media, or graphic design
- Strong graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Express, or similar tools
- Experience creating and editing short-form videos for social media
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail

About the Role:
InFocus Film School is looking for a Junior Admissions Advisor to join our team in Vancouver. This is a great opportunity for someone who is ambitious, people-focused, and ready to build a career in admissions, sales, and student support.
As a Junior Admissions Advisor, you will be one of the first points of contact for prospective students. You will help guide leads through the admissions process, build strong relationships, answer questions, and support applicants as they explore their education and career goals.
This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. You do not need years of experience, but you do need drive, confidence, and the ability to connect with people.
What You Will Do
- Respond to prospective student inquiries by phone, email, text, and video meetings
- Build rapport with leads and guide them through the admissions process
- Conduct admissions interviews and assess program fit
- Follow up consistently with prospective students to move applications forward
- Support students with application steps, required documents, and next actions
- Maintain accurate notes, statuses, and activity in internal systems
- Work closely with finance, student services, and leadership to support enrolment goals
- Participate in training, coaching, and daily team huddles
