About the Role:
InFocus Film School is looking for a Graphic Design Instructor to join our team in a part-time remote teaching role. We are seeking a knowledgeable, engaging, and student-focused instructor who can deliver high-quality instruction while supporting students in building practical, industry-relevant design skills.
This role is ideal for someone with strong graphic design experience, a passion for teaching, and the ability to create a positive and professional virtual classroom environment.
What You Will Do:
- Deliver online instruction in graphic design courses in a clear, engaging, and organized manner
- Support student learning through lectures, demonstrations, feedback, and guided practice
- Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and productive virtual classroom environment
- Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Track attendance, grades, and student performance as required
- Work with academic leadership to ensure course quality, consistency, and student success
- Maintain accurate records and meet required administrative deadlines
- Adapt teaching methods to support different learning styles and student needs
- Stay current with industry tools, trends, and best practices in graphic design
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years of professional graphic design experience
- A teaching certificate, or a minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in Canada
- Strong knowledge of graphic design principles, workflows, and industry-standard tools
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable teaching in an online environment
- Organized, dependable, and student-centered
- Ability to engage and support learners in a virtual classroom setting
Compensation:
- $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
Working Conditions:
- Remote work from home position
- Part-time, 20 hours per week
- Monday to Friday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM EST
- Must be able to work consistently during scheduled teaching hours
- Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace for online instruction
