About the Role
InFocus Film School is seeking a 3D Animation Instructor to join our team in a part-time, remote teaching role. We are seeking an experienced, engaging, and student-focused instructor who can deliver high-quality online instruction and help students build practical, industry-relevant 3D animation skills.
This role is ideal for someone with strong 3D animation experience, a passion for teaching, and the ability to create a positive and professional virtual classroom environment.
What You Will Do
- Deliver online instruction in 3D animation courses in a clear, engaging, and organized manner
- Support student learning through lectures, demonstrations, feedback, and guided practice
- Help students develop practical skills in modelling, rigging, animation, rendering, and production workflows
- Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and productive virtual classroom environment
- Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Track attendance, grades, and student performance as required
- Work with academic leadership to ensure course quality, consistency, and student success
- Maintain accurate records and meet required administrative deadlines
- Adapt teaching methods to support different learning styles and student needs
- Stay current with industry tools, trends, and best practices in 3D animation
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of professional 3D animation experience
- A teaching certificate, or a minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in Canada
- Strong knowledge of 3D animation principles, pipelines, and industry-standard software
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable teaching in an online environment
- Organized, dependable, and student-centered
- Ability to engage and support learners in a virtual classroom setting
Compensation
- $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
Working Conditions
- Remote work from home position
- Part-time, 20 hours per week
- Monday to Friday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM EST
- Must be able to work consistently during scheduled teaching hours
- Must have a reliable internet connection and suitable home workspace for online instruction
