Short Film Script

Considered a gateway step and a calling card of the industry, short films are the perfect medium for writers to learn the process of translating a story to a script.

Web Series Episode

Experience working in a writer’s room and collaborate in writing one episode of a web series. You are then on set, involved with a practical, real-life production as the webisodes are produced.

TV Pilot

An original pilot script is still considered the best route to gaining a toehold in the industry. Develop and write your own 30- or 60-minute television pilot script.

Adaptation Script

Brand recognition is increasingly important in the industry as everything from books to board games become screenplays. You are individually assigned a short story to adapt into a script.

TV Pitch Document

Work with your new TV pilot script to develop a series arc and regular cast of characters, and combine it all into a pitch document. Learn the fundamentals of pitching to sell your project.

Feature Screenplay

One key goal of this program is for a script to emerge as a realistic contender for production. Write your own screenplay for an original, low-budget, marketable feature film.

  • Reality TV Treatment

    From coached scenes to host narration, “unscripted” television shows are anything but. Students will create a treatment for a reality show.

  • TV Comedy Skit

    While not everyone can be laugh-out-loud funny, it’s crucial to have a sense of humour in this business. Students create a short SNL-style skit that will be performed.

  • Feature Film Script
